Stacey: That’s right. They got it. HotzePodcast.com. Today, Dr. Hotze’s going to tell you how you can take charge of your health, naturally.
Dr. Hotze: Thanks so much. I appreciate it, Stacey. And thank you to each one of you for joining us today. Are you ready to do a 180 and take charge of your health? Hello, I am Dr. Steve Hotze, and I believe that you need to take charge of your health, and you need a doctor and a staff of professionals who can help you and coach you onto a path of health and wellness, naturally, so that you can enjoy a better quality of life without using or resorting to pharmaceutical drugs.
Now, just remember this story that I’ve told you before. When I graduated from medical school, I had a dinner at The Houston Club that my dad was having for me, a banquet. And my father turned to me…and he was a very success entrepreneur. Wasn’t a physician, but he was very bright, and he had good common sense. And he said, “Son.” I said, “Yes, sir.” He said, “Son, don’t poison your patients like all the other doctors do.” Now, this is my first day I’m an MD. It’s the evening after I’ve gone through and received my doctorate, my medical degree, and my father tells me, “Don’t poison your patients like all the other doctors do.”
So I reflected back on my medical school studies. And remember, I took pharmacology my first year in medical school. In pharmacology, in the book, there’s a chapter on the detoxification of pharmaceutical drugs. Detoxify means to remove the toxin. So this is the detoxification of pharmaceutical drugs. The pharmaceutical drugs are the toxins, and you have to detoxify them in the liver, so there’s a process of getting rid of these pharmaceutical drugs, these toxins.
You just look up the definition of toxin, and the definition of toxin is poison. So if you think about it, modern medicine and conventional medicine proposes that we take these toxins, which are drugs, these poisons, and somehow or another, by taking these toxins or poisons, we’re going to get well. I just don’t believe you can poison yourself to good health.
I know that God gave the body remarkable restorative properties, that if you put the right vitamins and minerals and the right food substances into your body, I know that your body can heal itself. What causes sickness in our current day and time right now is really a decline in energy production within the cells of the body and the power plants, which is your mitochondria. When you don’t produce enough energy in those cells, then the body functions at a low metabolism at a lower rate, and it doesn’t do well.
This often happens to people as they march through their life. They get to be in their late 20s, early 30s and 40s, they begin to notice a decline in their overall energy, and that affects their weight. That affects their ability to think clearly. It affects their body temperature. It affects their sleep. It affects their moods, their joint and muscles. It affects that. Affects your bowel function. It affects your ability to fight off infections when you have low energy. So you want to be operating as a high-voltage individual. The energy that’s produced within the cells, of course, is electrical energy. So you want to have a high voltage rather than low voltage.
What happens is that we’re exposed to many chemicals in our environment, petrochemicals, really, in what we breathe, eat, drink, and slather on our body. These various products contain petrochemical products, which are a molecule that’s similar to estrogen. They’re called xenoestrogens, and that means they are chemical products that mimic the estrogen molecule.
You can imagine if males are getting that, and females too, these are hormone disrupters, and it disrupts the normal production of your natural bioidentical hormones. In males, it causes a decline in the production of testosterone and the utilization of testosterone. Cuts down on sperm count. Male sperm count over the last 60 to 70 years has fallen dramatically, and so that’s a sign…and their testosterone levels have fallen.
We’ve seen individuals that have been involved in industries where they’re exposed to a lot of chemicals and at a very young age. This would be like people that do pesticide work or people that work in…
Stacey: Or refineries.
Dr. Hotze: Refineries. They’re exposed to a lot of petrochemicals. Those petrochemicals disrupt their hormones and cut down on the production of hormones. And they come in at a young age, and they’re…
Stacey: Really young. Early 20s.
Dr. Hotze: Yes, in their 20s, and their testosterone levels are in the gutter. So you have to get rid of the toxins in your system. And that’s why we say if you’re going to take charge of your health, you have to take charge of it naturally, not using pharmaceutical drugs, because here’s what happens. You get these petrochemicals in your body. Those are toxins. They downregulate the production of energy. Now you have low energy production, and you get a host of symptoms that we described earlier.
And you go to the doctor, and you go, “I’m just not feeling well. I don’t feel good. I have low energy. I can’t lose weight. I can’t sleep. I can’t think clearly…joint muscle…I have all these problems, doc. What’s going on?” And the doctor does blood tests, just for routine blood tests. “Well, your blood tests are normal. I think you’re probably just depressed.” Well, and they start giving you medication to treat maybe depression, and they give you medication for joint and muscle aches and pains, medication for sleep, medication to help lose weight, medication to help you overcome your fatigue. And these are all drugs they’re giving you, and these drugs are toxins, so they make you more toxic.
Stacey: Oh, and Dr. Hotze, just a couple weeks ago, you ran into a lady who had been on several, right?
Dr. Hotze: Right.
Stacey: 19?
Dr. Hotze: Yes, and she was 48 years old…
Stacey: 19 pharmaceutical drugs and only 48 years old.
Dr. Hotze: 48. 19 different medications.
Stacey: It’s scary.
Dr. Hotze: And so if you’re already toxic and you’re not producing enough energy, you’re going to make yourself more toxic with these drugs. More toxins. All this medication. And so what you want to do is you want to free yourself of that. You don’t want to get on all these drugs which make you sicker quicker. What you want to do is address your underlying health problems, and the first and best way you can do that by taking charge of your health is change your eating lifestyle.
We recommend a ketogenic eating plan, which is high, good, healthy oils and fats in good amounts. That would be eggs, butter. That would be avocados, cheeses, nuts, olives, olive oil, coconut oil, fish oil. And then eat a lot of good, healthy greens, and you could put hot butter on top of that. And then eat a little bit of meat. Three or four ounces is more than enough. And eliminate all of your simple carbs. Carbohydrates are converted to sugar, which causes inflammatory processes within your body, as well. It could downregulate your power plants, so you don’t have as good of energy production as you would if you eat less carbs and you eat more fats, which burn slower but more efficiently.
So right now is the time for you to do a 180 and take charge of your health. That’s so very important. And the way you do it is you get on a good, healthy eating lifestyle program, you replenish the hormones. As your hormones decline in males or become imbalanced and decline in females, you want to replenish those with your natural, bioidentical hormones. And then you want to take some vitamin and minerals for detox. Get on a good exercise program. In addition to that, if you have allergies, you want to get those evaluated and treated.
But now is the time. I recommend to you do a 180 and take charge of your health. If you don’t take charge of your health, who will? You can’t expect your doctor, you can’t expect your insurance company or the government to take care of your health. Only you can take care of your health, and that’s what I want to encourage you to do this year.
Stacey: Amen. And Dr. Hotze, you have a very generous offer. If people just give us a call, he’s giving a complimentary copy…
Dr. Hotze: I’ll send you a copy of my book, Do A 180, and take charge of your health.
Stacey: Absolutely. All you have to do is call (281) 698-8698. That’s (281) 698-8698.
Dr. Hotze: Yes. I want to remind that we are leading a Wellness Revolution, and we want you to be part of it. You’re probably driving down the road on the wrong side of the health highway, and you’re going to end up having a wreck. You’re going to come down with diabetes or come down with high blood pressure or heart disease or kidney problems or strokes or Alzheimer’s. All these things are pending in your future if you don’t take charge of your health, so you have to turn around when you’re on the health highway if you’re on the wrong side of the street. Get on the right side of the street and drive towards good health. Get on a pathway of health and wellness, and get on it naturally.
Stacey: Absolutely. And the first step could be getting a copy of Dr. Hotze’s book. Knowledge is power, and people are empowered through knowledge. So remember to call (281) 698-8698. Thank you for joining here today on Dr. Hotze’s Wellness Revolution.
