The Flu Shot is Not Effective

Flu season is here, however now there is evidence from a health advisory from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC)  that the flu shot is not as effective as they hoped it would be.

As stated on WebMD:  “So far this season, influenza A – H3N2 viruses – have been detected most frequently, and in almost all states,” said CDC Director Thomas Frieden, MD, MPH, in a telebriefing with reporters. “Unfortunately about half of the viruses in cases that we’ve identified this season are different than the ones that are included in this year’s vaccine. The vaccine won’t protect against these viruses.”

Should you be concerned about the flu vaccine?

You should be very concerned about injecting yourself, or your children, with a foreign substance that contains a toxic combination of chemicals and harmful additives. These additives have unknown and even lasting consequences such as cognitive or behavioral impairment. On the less severe side, even the common flu shot side effects are nasty such as developing flu-like symptoms lasting for days.

Contrary to popular belief, good health cannot be obtained through vaccinations. Being injected with an unknown substance which contains ingredients foreign to the human body is not the best idea, particularly when there are simpler solutions that are much safer and effective in warding off the flu.

Protect Yourself from the Flu Naturally

We encourage you to take natural steps to prevent getting the flu.  Here’s what you can do to protect yourself:

1. Wash your hands frequently to remove any bacteria and viruses. This is an easy way to protect yourself from illness every day.

2. Get a restful night’s sleep which helps the body restore itself.

3.  Eat a healthy diet of organic fruits and vegetables which gives you antioxidants that help remove harmful free radicals from your body.

4.  Exercise regularly to help to stimulate the immune system.

5.  Avoid sugar, which depresses the immune system.

6.  De-stress.  Stress can affect the ability of your body to fight off infections and can throw your hormones out of balance.

7.  Take vitamin D. Ask a physician to check your vitamin D levels to ensure they are optimal.

8.  Take immune boosting supplements (vitamin C, probiotics, zinc, garlic, Echinacea) that will help boost your immune system.

9.  Make sure your hormones are in balance.  Hypothyroidism and hormonal imbalance can lead to a weak immune system.

10.  Drink lots of water to help you stay hydrated. This helps remove toxins from your body.

It is important to be proactive and take charge of your health, naturally, so that you can fight off diseases such as the flu and achieve optimal health.
